Open circuit
2 hoursThe pools, the steam room, the sauna and the quiet room at your own pace, with a towel and a locker.
Book: Open circuitMineral-pool bathhouse
A bathhouse in Glenwood Springs for hikers, skiers and anyone passing through the valley. Move from the pools to the steam room and sauna, cool off, then rest with tea. The circuit is for guests 18 and over.

Heat is not for everyone. If any of these is true for you, talk to your doctor before the pools, the steam room or the sauna.
The circuit
Warm up in a pool, move to a heat room, cool off, then rest. Go around again if your session allows.
Three pools at three temperatures, so you choose how warm to go. Most guests start in the warm pool and work up.
A wide warm pool for a long soak
A smaller hot pool for shorter stays
A cool pool to finish a round

A steam room and a dry cedar sauna. Sit on a towel, keep a few minutes at a time and step out when you want to.
Steam room: tiled benches, soft steam
Cedar sauna: dry heat on two levels
Leave if you feel dizzy or unwell

Loungers, tea and water, and a rule of quiet. This is where the circuit ends, for as long as your session runs.
Robes and loungers
Tea and water
No phones, no talking above a whisper

The team
Twenty-two people work at Strata. These five are who most guests meet first, and each massage therapist's license is listed at the foot of the page.

Owner and general manager
Holden grew up in the valley and opened Strata as a place to warm up after the trail. He is usually at the front at opening; ask him about private pool rooms, groups and how the hours change with the seasons.

Lead massage therapist
Candido works with slow, firm pressure and knows tired legs; he leads the Legs and feet massage. He speaks Spanish and English.

Massage therapist
Ashli does full-body massage at the pressure you choose, and shoulders and neck when you have half an hour. She came to Glenwood Springs for the trails and stayed.

Thermal host
Veena looks after the pools and heat rooms. She shows first-time guests around, keeps the rooms clean and quiet, and will tell you when it's a good time to step out and cool down.

Guest services lead
Dilara books your session, sets up groups and gift cards, and answers the phone. She speaks Farsi and English.
Hours
On Cooper Avenue in Glenwood Springs, a few blocks from downtown. The last session starts two hours before closing.
Most sessions are booked ahead. Call the front desk if you're in town and want to ask what is open.
A swimsuit in the pools, the steam room and the sauna. We provide towels and a locker, and robes for the quiet room.
Fifteen minutes before your session, to check in, shower and find your locker. If you arrive late your session still ends on time, so the next guests aren't kept waiting.
Ask your doctor first, before you book. Heat affects people differently and we can't judge it for you. Leave any hot room if you feel dizzy or unwell.
The pools, steam room, sauna and massage are for guests 18 and over. We check at the desk, and we don't offer a family session.
Yes. Up to four friends can share a private pool room, and groups of six or more book by phone so we can set aside time and space.
Keep it in your locker. No phones or photos where guests are changing, in the pools or in the quiet room.
Gift cards
A gift card works for any amount, for a circuit session, a massage or both. Send one by email or pick one up at the front desk.
