The circuit

Room by room

Six rooms in three lanes. Take them in any order and at your own pace; your session ends at the time on your booking.

  • Warm pool

A wide pool for a long, easy soak. Most guests begin here.

    • Shower first

    • A swimsuit

  • Hot pool

A smaller pool, hotter, for shorter stays. Step out when you've had enough; there's a bench and water at the edge.

    • Shorter stays

    • Water at the edge

  • Cool pool

A cool pool to finish a round, or to step into between the heat rooms. Get in slowly.

    • Step in slowly

    • Out when you feel ready

  • Steam room

Tiled benches and soft steam. Sit on a towel and stay a few minutes at a time.

    • Sit on a towel

    • Hair tied up

  • Cedar sauna

Dry heat on two levels of cedar benches. The lower bench is the gentler one.

    • Sit on a towel

    • Leave if you feel dizzy

  • Quiet room

Loungers, robes, tea and water. Quiet means quiet.

    • No phones

    • Tea and water

Heat rooms

How to take the heat

Rinse first, sit on your towel and keep to a few minutes at a time. Step out, cool off in the cool pool or the open air of the hall, then go back in if you like.

Nobody keeps score. If you feel dizzy or unwell, leave the room and sit down; Veena or another host will bring you water.

  • Shower before you enter any pool

  • Sit on a towel, never on the bare bench

  • Tie long hair up

  • Take your time between rooms

Quiet room

Where the circuit ends

A room for sitting still. Loungers, robes, tea and water, and a rule that keeps it calm: no phones, and voices low.

Stay for as long as your session runs. If you came with friends, the quiet room is where you catch up afterward, in the hall outside.

Before you come

What to wear, who may come

  • What to wear

A swimsuit in the pools, the steam room and the sauna. A robe in the quiet room, with sandals if you like.

  • Who may come

Guests 18 and over. We check at the desk, and we don't offer a family session.

  • What we provide

A towel, a locker and a robe for the quiet room. Bring a swimsuit and a water bottle.

Ask your doctor first

Heat is not for everyone. If any of these is true for you, talk to your doctor before the pools, the steam room or the sauna.
